Itinerary

Tuesday, April 17: Maritimes to Portsmouth, NH
Depart early this morning from the Maritimes. Stop for lunch in New Brunswick before crossing in to the United States. Arrive this evening at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Enjoy snacks and refreshments at a welcome reception. The hotel has a complimentary shuttle to take you to local shops and restaurants. 

Wednesday, April 18: Portsmouth, NH to Winchester, VA
Enjoy a complimentary breakfast before we check out and head to Winchester, Virginia. Today we will be driving through Massachusetts, Connecticut, and passing by New York on our way to Virginia. We will have rest stops and lunch along the way. Enjoy the scenery and onboard entertainment along the way. This evening we arrive at our host hotel, the Hampton Inn Winchester. Have dinner at one of the local restaurants, or relax at the hotel. 

Thursday, April 19: Winchester, VA to Lexington, KY
Enjoy a complimentary breakfast before checking out and heading to Lexington, KY. We will be stopping for rest stop and a lunch break along the way. Your tour director will help you pass the time with games and entertainment. This evening we arrive at our host hotel, the Hampton Inn I-75. The rest of the evening is free to explore on your own. 

Friday, April 20: Lexington, KY to Nashville, TN
Enjoy a complimentary breakfast before checking out and departing for Nashville, TN. We arrive in Nashville in the early afternoon. Have lunch before meeting our step-on-guide for a sightseeing tour of Nashville. The city is considered the home of country music, the Athens of the South, and features landmarks like the Ryman Auditorium, the Parthenon, State Capitol of Tennessee, and Bicentennial Park. We arrive at our host hotel, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Opryland. After checking in, you are free to explore. Stroll the grounds of the Gaylord Opryland Resort or take a shuttle from the hotel to downtown Nashville (about $25 USD per person, round trip). 

Saturday, April 21: Nashville
Enjoy a complimentary breakfast before meeting up with the group. This morning we will visit the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. As the world's largest music museum, it gives country music fans the ultimate experience, displaying everything from rhinestone costumes to tear-stained lyric sheets. This afternoon you are free to explore the downtown area. Check out the many restaurants and honky-tonks on lower Broadway. You may also wish to visit the Johnny Cash Museum or the many downtown shops. We will return to the hotel this afternoon to get ready for tonight's event. This evening we will attend the show that made country music famous, The Grand Ole Opry. What began as a simple radio broadcast in 1925 is today a live entertainment phenomenon. Dedicated to honoring country music's rich history and dynamic present, the Grand Ole Opry showcases a mix of country legends and the contemporary chart-toppers who have followed in their footsteps. Performers will be announced at a later date. 

Sunday, April 22: Nashville, TN to Memphis, TN
Enjoy a complimentary dinner before we check out and head to Memphis, TN. We arrive at Graceland this afternoon, and after lunch you will enjoy a self-guided tour of Graceland Mansion. The mansion tour will begin with a new, brief orientation film about Elvis' life and career before boarding a shuttle to drive through the famous musical gates up to the front door. This portion of the tour includes the living room, his parents' bedroom, the kitchen, TV room, pool room, the famous Jungle Room, his father's office, the newly-enhanced Trophy Building, and the Meditation Garden. Following the mansion tour we will visit Elvis Presley's Memphis Entertainment Complex. This is a brand new state-of-the-art facility that showcases interactive and immersive pop culture experiences that connect Elvis' personal interests and activities throughout his life. Following our visit to Graceland we will depart for our host hotel, the Hampton Inn Memphis-Southaven. Check in and freshen up before the included group dinner at the Kooky Canuck. 

Monday, April 23: Memphis to Pigeon Forge, TN
Enjoy a complimentary breakfast before checking out and heading to Pigeon Forge, TN. We will stop for rest breaks and lunch along the way. This evening we arrive at the Hampton Inn in Pigeon Forge and check in. This evening is free to explore - have dinner in a local restaurant or check out the shops. 

Tuesday, April 24: Pigeon Forge, TN
Enjoy a complimentary before meeting up with the tour group. Travel a short distance to Gatlinburg where we will meet out step-on-guide for a tour of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, America's most visited National Park. Our local guide will take us to the top of the mountains and back with an array of history, stories, and legends about the area and the people. Along the way you will see spectacular scenery and maybe even some wildlife. Following our guided tour, enjoy some free time in Gatlinburg. Have lunch in a local restaurant and explore the area. Tonight we will enjoy a performance and four-course feast at Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede. Filled with friendly North and South competition, thrilling horse riding stunts, spectacular special effects, phenomenal musical productions, plus a mouth-watering meal.

Wednesday, April 25: Pigeon Forge, TN to Winchester, VA
Enjoy a complimentary breakfast before checking out and heading to Winchester, VA. There will be rest stops and a lunch break along the way. This evening check into our host hotel, the Hampton Inn Winchester. Have dinner at one of the local restaurants or relax at the hotel. 

Thursday, April 26: Winchester, VA to Portsmouth, NH
Enjoy a complimentary breakfast before checking out and heading to Portsmouth, NH. There will be rest stops and a lunch break along the way. This evening check into our host hotel, the Hampton Inn Portsmouth. Have dinner at one of the local restaurants or relax at the hotel.

Friday, April 27: Portsmouth, NH to Home
After breakfast, we check out and head for home. We will stop at Duty Free before crossing the border.
